Grow and Walk-A-Thon DELCO
The Grow and Walk-A-Thon DELCO is a community wellness event taking place on July 26, 2026, in County Park, 1201 Springfield Road, Darby, Pennsylvania. It serves as the culminating challenge of the multi-week Grow & Walk DelCo wellness program and marks the 10th anniversary of Black Girls With Green Thumbs.
The event is an accessible, all-ages 5K walk presented in partnership with Delaware County Parks & Recreation. It is open to program participants and the general public. The Walk-A-Thon is designed with beginners, leisure walkers, families, and seniors in mind and emphasizes walking together and enjoying local green and historic spaces rather than competition.
The route begins and ends at County Park on Springfield Road and is followed by a community celebration with a complimentary lunch. Entry is free for eastern Delaware County residents; other participants may use a sliding scale fee structure.
