Grow-a-Pair 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
This event is a community road race held at Kulp Park - Lenape Park in Perkasie, PA. The course uses a flat, paved scenic bike path that follows the creek, includes a loop, and passes a college campus. Two main participation options are offered:
- 5K road race
- 1 Mile fun run/walk (untimed)
The 5K includes awards for 1st overall male and female finishers and top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 18 and under; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and up. The 1 Mile fun run/walk is untimed, open to all ages, and does not include awards. The post-event awards ceremony will be held at The Ram Beer Garden, 606 W Chestnut St, Perkasie, located a few blocks from the starting area. Registration fees are listed with an early price and a higher race day price; adding a shirt has an extra fee with an early deadline to guarantee a shirt. Optional online registration is available through Pretzel City Sports with a nominal processing fee and an online registration deadline in mid August. The event is organized in support of the Grow-A-Pair Foundation mission to raise awareness of men’s health issues including prostate and testicular cancer and to encourage regular health screenings.
