Grove Trotter 5K/10K Bridge Run
The Grove Trotter 5K/10K Bridge Run is a fundraising event held at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in Williamsburg, Virginia. The event supports the Grove Christian Outreach Center, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to families in the Grove community. This race is recognized as a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix event.
The course is located on the well-maintained Capital Trail. Participants start at Chickahominy Riverfront Park and run across the Chickahominy River Bridge. After heading out onto the trail, the route returns to the park to complete the full distance. The following events are available:
- 10K Bridge Run
- 10K Bridge Walk
- 5K Bridge Run/Walk
All participants receive a finisher's medal and a T-shirt. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three runners in various age categories ranging from 19-and-under to 70-and-over. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Located at 1350 John Tyler Highway, the event takes place entirely on a paved trail surface. Packet pick-up is held on-site prior to the start of the events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
