Grove City College XC Alumni 5k and 3k Fun Run
The event takes place during Homecoming Weekend at Grove City College and includes an alumni Cross Country 5k and a 3k fun run. Participation is open to alumni who ran cross country for at least one season while at Grove City College.
Races will use the campus course and running times will be displayed on the scoreboard. Music will be played over the loudspeakers during warm-up and the races. Fully automatic timing will be provided by Wolf Creek Race Management.
Registration is handled in the large tent behind the press box, where T-shirts are provided as the uniform top at registration. That tent also houses the postrace gathering and will be equipped with power strips, portable heaters, flood lights, tables, and chairs. Parking is available in the lot next to the Fieldhouse. Restrooms are located beneath the press box and general locker rooms in the Physical Learning Center are available for those who need lockers or showers.
A chili cookout and potluck will follow the men’s race in the tent behind the press box; beverages and plasticware will be provided. Ice bags are available after the races. Donations to help defray event costs may be mailed to the Development Office at 100 Campus Drive, Grove City, PA 16127 or given at the race.
