Course and logistics

The event is a technical trail race with trails that run up and down multiple hills and an average elevation gain of about 100 ft per mile. The course passes through ravines, limestone bluffs, springs, and forest canopy and includes sections of gravel road. Runners cross Franklin Creek during the course: the 10K crosses the creek five times and the 5K crosses it twice. Drinking water will be available at the start/finish area and at a mid-race shelter for the 10K; participants should bring their own disposable cup or hydration bladder because cups will not be provided. Proceeds support the Franklin Creek Conservation Association for park programs, expansion, and improvements. Custom awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers and to top ruckers in each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
