Grim Reaper Running Festival 2026
The Grim Reaper Running Festival takes place at Grimsthorpe Castle Estate in South Lincolnshire on May 23 to May 24, 2026. The event offers several solo distances and a team relay option over the same marked loop.

- 10 miles (day and night races)
- 40 miles
- 70 miles
- 100 miles solo and a 100 miles team option
The full marked route is a 10 mile loop across grass trails through ancient woodland, limestone tracks, quiet estate roads and a stretch along a disused Victorian railway line. The loop skirts the estate lake and returns to the start and finish area in front of the castle.
Races are largely self sufficient. There is a 5 mile aid station and an area at the start and finish to leave tents or supplies to access after each lap. The three ultra distances have a strict 28 hour cut off and require a mandatory kit list. Entry includes the option to camp on the Friday and Saturday nights at no extra charge.
Trophies are awarded to first, second and third male and female in all solo races and to all members of the winning teams. Entries open June 27, 2025 and close May 10, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
