Toohey Trail Run
The Griffith Sport Toohey Trail Run is a trail running event held on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan), Ring Road, 170 Kessels Road, Nathan. The route moves from campus bitumen into the bush and runs through Toohey Forest.
The event offers three course distances:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon through Toohey Forest
- 10 km trail course
- 5 km trail course
Entry rules include age requirements: 5 km entrants must be at least five years old and under 13s must be accompanied by a registered adult; 10 km entrants must be at least 12 years old and under 13s must be accompanied by a registered adult; 21.1 km entrants must be at least 14 years old. Prams are not suitable for the course. There will be marshals, directional signage, water stations, and trained first aid staff on site. The event operates as cupless to minimise waste and has a cut off time for all runners. Entry fees are non refundable if a registrant does not compete.
For 2026 the event marks its 10th anniversary and includes an epic finisher medal, a race singlet or shirt included with registration for entries before 1 July, and a 10 year commemorative collapsible speed cup for the first 1200 registrants.
