The Griffith Park Trail Marathon Relay & 8K takes place at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. The event is held at the Lower Old Zoo area.

- Griffith Park 8K
Event Details
Griffith Park is over 4,300 acres and is one of the largest urban parks in the country. It contains landmarks such as the Abandoned Los Angeles Zoo, the Observatory, and the Hollywood Sign. The park has more than 30 trails totaling about 50 miles for runners and hikers.
Participant Information
All participants receive a premium short sleeve t-shirt. The relay run uses chip timing. All participants receive a finisher’s medal. There are three aid stations with medical staff on the course. Food, refreshments, and music from live DJs are available at the start/finish area. The event was recognized in 2024 as one of Runner’s World magazine's "10 Best Races You’ve Never Heard Of".
Prizes include $1500 in cash for the Open division and trophies or plaques for the top three teams in each recreational division. Relay participants also receive limited edition badges. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
