Grey Bruce Animal Shelter Dog Jog 2026
This community fun run and walk raises funds and awareness for the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter. The shelter cares for surrendered dogs and cats until they can be placed in permanent homes, is run largely by volunteers, and receives no government funding. Fundraising proceeds support the shelter; current totals show CA$518.53 raised toward a CA$2,000 goal.
Participants may join as individuals or as teams. Prizes are offered for top fundraisers, and donations can be made in support of any participant or team without attending in person. The event proceeds rain or shine.
Dogs are welcome but must be leashed for the duration of the event. The first 50 registered dogs will receive a Bark Bag of swag and treats donated by local pet stores.
Routes include short trail options through Harrison Park and nearby paths:
- About 1 km Mile Drive Trail through the campground
- About 3.5 km Bruce Trail along the Fitness Trail and across the Jubilee Bridge
