Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk : event description
The Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk is held to support the Meaford Hospital Foundation. The 29th edition took place on July 12, 2025, and ran through Meaford’s harbour area and nearby neighbourhoods. More than 500 people participated in 2025, running, walking, or strolling along the route.
The program included a 1 km Kids FunRun for children aged 10 and under and a main 5 km course that follows waterfront and residential streets. Water stations along the route were operated by the Hospital's Auxiliary. A local musical group, the Scarecrow Kazoo Band, performed near the waterfront during the event.
An organizing committee and teams of volunteers managed logistics, with support from local sponsors including Locations North Realty, Meaford Dental Clinic, Sinclair Homes and others. The 2025 event raised a total of $115,000 for the foundation, reported as a record amount.
