Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk

The Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk marked its 30th anniversary on Saturday, July 11, with nearly 700 runners and walkers and hundreds of supporters and volunteers along the Meaford waterfront. The event gathered the local community for an organised run and walk that combined participation and fundraising.

This edition raised $125,000 for the Emergency Department Revitalization Campaign at Brightshores Meaford Hospital, exceeding the 2026 fundraising goal of $100,000 and bringing the event’s three-decade total past $1.27 million. Funds from the event have supported diagnostic imaging, cancer and cardiac care, mental health initiatives, and emergency department equipment.

Organizers attributed the turnout and fundraising results to a coordinated community effort, with a dedicated organizing committee and many volunteers contributing to event operations and participant experience.
