Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk
The Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk marked its 30th anniversary on the Meaford waterfront, with nearly 700 runners and walkers taking part alongside hundreds of volunteers and supporters. The event pairs a community run/walk with fundraising for the local hospital.
This edition raised $125,000 for the Emergency Department Revitalization Campaign at Brightshores Meaford Hospital, exceeding the 2026 goal of $100,000 and bringing the event’s three-decade fundraising total to more than $1.27 million. Funds from the event have supported hospital priorities such as diagnostic imaging, cancer and cardiac care, mental health initiatives, and emergency department equipment.
Organizers credited the turnout to a community effort, a dedicated organizing committee, and many volunteers who helped run the day safely.
