Greene Labor Day 5k
The Greene Labor Day 5k is a community road race held in Greene on September 7, 2026, and is part of an end-of-summer family-oriented field day. The course starts and finishes at Greene Lions Club Park on Lions Park Lane. Ample parking and restroom facilities are available. Registration, post-race refreshments, and awards are located at the pavilion.
The event is organized by the non-profit Greene Community Labor Day Picnic Association, Inc., which raises funds for community enrichment. The race is a wheel-measured 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) road race, USATF certified (NY17031JG), and uses chip timing. Runners and walkers are welcome.
Registration opens November 19, 2025, and pre-registration is due by August 1, 2026. Entry options: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
- Early Bird pre-registration: $20.00, includes race shirt, $5.00 in Labor Day coupons redeemable at select food and game booths at the Ball Flats, and an entry to win door prizes (must be present to win).
- Youth pre-registration (ages 17 and under): $15.00, includes the same items above.
- Registration after August 1 for all ages: $25.00, includes $5.00 in Labor Day coupons, door prize entry, and a race shirt while supplies last. A multi-person discount of $2.00 off per person applies when registering more than one person in the same transaction. Processing fees are paid by the registrant.
