The Greene Labor Day 5k is scheduled for Monday, September 7, 2026, in Greene, New York. This is the 18th annual running of the road race and it is part of an end-of-summer, family-oriented field day. The event is organized by the non-profit Greene Community Labor Day Picnic Association, Inc. and is part of the 2026 Route 20 Road Challenge series.
Course and facilities
The course is a wheel-measured 5 km (3.1 miles) road race and is USATF certified (NY17031JG). The event uses chip timing. The course starts and finishes at Greene Lions Club Park on Lions Park Lane. The venue offers ample parking, restroom facilities, registration at the pavilion, post-race refreshments, and awards at the pavilion. The race proceeds rain or shine.
Registration and fees
Pre-registration options include an Early Bird fee of $20 and a Youth fee of $15 for ages 17 and under when paid by August 1. Registration after August 1 is $25; race shirts are included while supplies last. Pre-registered entries include $5 in Labor Day coupons redeemable at select food and game booths and an entry to win door prizes. A multi-person discount of $2 off per person applies when multiple entries are submitted in the same transaction. Processing fees apply.
