Greene County YMCA Triathlon
The Greene County YMCA Triathlon is scheduled for September 12, 2026 at Sleepy Hollow Lake in Athens, NY. The event uses chip timing and follows a swim-bike-run format consisting of:
- 350-yard swim
- 11.5-mile bike ride
- 5K run
All registrants receive a drawstring bag, a swim cap and post-race food and drink. Registration pricing is listed in two periods: early pre-registration until August 18 and late registration beginning August 19. Fees are stated separately for individuals and teams.
If a Blue Green Algae bloom is present, the swim will be omitted and the event will become a duathlon for health reasons. Awards are distributed across several categories without duplication, including overall top three male and female finishers, a first place non-binary award, a first place team award, and top three male and female placements within age groups (19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+).
