Vineyard Hill Trail Run
The Vineyard Hill Trail Run is an annual off-road running event located on the town line of Hamilton and Topsfield. Part of the North Shore Trail Series, the event takes place on a course that traverses several conservation and recreation areas. Runners navigate through Vineyard Hill Reservation, sections of Bradley Palmer State Park, and stretches of the Bay Circuit Trail.
Participants can choose from two distance options:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The route features wide, rolling trails and crosses the open landscape of Greenbelt's Shaw Field. The 10 km distance consists of two circuits of the course. The terrain includes Vineyard Hill, which provides elevation changes.
The course is marked for navigation using arrows and neon pink flagging tape. An aid station is positioned at the start and finish area, offering water, sports drinks, and snacks. For those completing the 10 km distance, the aid station is accessible between the first and second loops. Timing services for the event are provided by Bay State Race Services. The race is Trail Sisters approved and is sponsored by the New England Running Co. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
