Event Information
The Green Turtle Cay Mini Marathon & 5k takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026. The event offers two distances: a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles).
Course Description
The race begins and ends in historic downtown New Plymouth, at the basketball court. The course is a tour of Green Turtle Cay, including beaches such as Coco Bay, Ocean Beach, and Gillam Bay. The terrain is described as mostly flat, on pavement or sandy roads, with mild detours around beaches and cays.
Registration and Fees
Online registration closes on Monday, February 6, 2026. The half marathon is limited to 125 runners. The registration fee for the half marathon is $150, and for the 5K it is $35. Registration includes race entry, an inaugural race t-shirt, and a finisher's medal for all participants.
Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up is scheduled for February 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the basketball court in downtown New Plymouth.
Purpose
All proceeds from the race benefit the GTC Community Connections, a not-for-profit organization supporting the well-being of the people of Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas.
Getting There
Green Turtle Cay is accessible via plane to Marsh Harbour International Airport (MHH) or Treasure Cay Airport, followed by a ferry from the Treasure Cay Ferry Dock.
