Event overview
The Green Turtle Cay Mini Marathon & 5K is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, on Green Turtle Cay in the Abacos, Bahamas. This is the inaugural running of the event. Net proceeds will benefit GTC Community Connections, a not-for-profit foundation formed to contribute to the well-being of the people of Green Turtle Cay, Abaco.

Online registration closes Monday, February 6, 2026. The Mini Marathon field is limited to 125 runners. Registration includes race entry, an inaugural GTC race T-shirt, and official GTC race medals for finishers. Fees listed are Mini Marathon $150, 5K $35, and Virtual Mini Marathon $100. Packet pick-up is at the Downtown New Plymouth Basketball Court on February 13, 2026 (3:00 PM–7:00 PM).
Course and travel
The Mini Marathon course tours Green Turtle Cay and passes Coco Bay, Ocean Beach, and Gillam Bay. The route is mostly flat on pavement or sandy roads with short detours of mild terrain around beaches and cays, beginning and ending in historic downtown New Plymouth. Travel options noted include Marsh Harbor International Airport (MHH) or Treasure Cay Airport, with a ferry service from the Treasure Cay Ferry Dock. The ferry operates as a walk-up, cash-only service and is scheduled approximately hourly during daytime. Golf carts are the primary local transport and are commonly rented to explore the island.
