The Green Turtle Cay Half Marathon & 5K takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, on Green Turtle Cay in the Abacos, Bahamas. The event starts and finishes in downtown New Plymouth at the basketball court. Distances offered:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
Course and local logistics
The half marathon course tours Green Turtle Cay and passes Coco Bay, Ocean Beach, and Gillam Bay. The route is mostly flat on pavement or sandy roads with short sections of mild terrain near beaches and cays. The event begins and ends in historic downtown New Plymouth. Packet pick-up is at the downtown basketball court on February 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Registration, fees and limits
Online registration closes Monday, February 6, 2026. The half marathon field is limited to 125 runners. Fees listed are $150 for the half marathon, $35 for the 5K, and $100 for a virtual half marathon. Registered participants receive an event T-shirt and an official finisher medal.
Travel, accommodations and sponsorship
Travel options to Green Turtle Cay include Marsh Harbor International Airport or Treasure Cay Airport and a ferry from the Treasure Cay Ferry Dock. Golf cart rentals are the primary local transport for exploring the island. Sponsorship levels are available with tiered benefits and all sponsorship proceeds will benefit the GTC Community Connections not-for-profit.
