The Green Monster Trail Challenge takes place on October 11, 2026, in the Tioga State Forest near Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, north of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The event is organized by the Tyoga Running Club.
Distances

- 25K
- 15K
Course Information
The course uses trails within the Tioga State Forest, including single-track trails, deer trails, and features like "Frankenstein's Forehead." The terrain includes rolling trails, steep climbs, stream crossings, and technical descents. The total ascent for the 50K is listed as 7,800 feet, for the 25K as 4,000 feet, and for the 15K as 1,700 feet.
Participant Information
There is a participant cap of 350 people. There is no day-of registration; a wait-list operates on a first-come, first-served basis if the event sells out. Registration closes on September 27, 2026. The organizer states there is a no-refunds policy.
What's Included
