Greatest 4th in the North 5k,10k, & 2k
This event takes place on July 4 in Lake City, Michigan. It includes three distances: a 5K Run/Walk, a 10K Run/Walk, and a 2K Fun Run.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Lake City Boosters organization, supporting local students and athletes.
Course Details
The 5K and 10K routes are described as fast and flat. They go along Lake Missaukee and through the downtown area of Lake City, which is decorated for the holiday. The shorter 2K Fun Run goes through Missaukee County Park and along a beach boardwalk.
Important Updates for 2026
Due to construction in downtown Lake City, the race route and registration location are different from previous years. Registration and packet pickup will be located just north of the Forest Area Federal Credit Union at 101 Main Street. The typical finish area is also affected for this year.
Event Day
