Event Overview
The Lake City Memorial Day 5K & 1 Mile Road Race takes place on Monday, May 25, 2026. It is the third year this event is being held. The event features two distances: a 5K and a 1 Mile road race.
Organization & Beneficiary
The run is hosted by the Lake City High School and Middle School cross country teams. The event will be professionally timed. All proceeds from the event go to the Lake City High School and Middle School cross country program.
Awards & Recognition
All participants receive a finisher medal.
- The first female and male finishers in the mile race each receive a winner's medal.
- The first female and male finishers in the 5K race each receive a gift card to Fleet Feet running store.
- The top three female and top three male finishers in each age group for the 5K receive age-group medals. The age groups are: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up.
Registration Details
Runners who register before Monday, May 11 receive an event t-shirt. Extra t-shirts may be available for purchase after that date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
