The Greater LA Triple Crown 5K Series
The Greater LA Triple Crown 5K Series is a collection of three running events held in the Lewiston and Auburn area of Maine. The series takes place over the summer months and is open to participants of various ages and abilities, including runners, walkers, and adaptive racers. Attendees have the option to participate in individual races or complete the entire three-part series.
The series consists of the following 5 km events:
- YMCA Fit Fest (June)
- Emily's Run (July)
- L-A Bridge Run (August)
The courses are USATF certified and utilize chip-timing technology. Each individual race has a maximum capacity of 800 participants. The events start at Festival Plaza on Main Street in Auburn. For those completing the full series, a complimentary prize and entry into a grand prize raffle are provided.
Facilities and race amenities include refreshments, music, and apparel for sale. Prize drawings are conducted, and awards are presented to overall winners as well as top finishers in five-year age categories. Registration is free for children aged 14 and under, seniors aged 75 and over, and adaptive racers. The series also supports local charitable organizations, including the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA, the Fletcher Foundation, and the Bridge Run Foundation.
