Event Information
The Great Woods Marathon takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026. It is held at Great Woods in Mansfield, Massachusetts, also known as the Xfinity Center, at 885 South Main Street.

The event features two distances:
- Great Woods Marathon (26.2 miles / 42.2 km)
- Two Mile Test Run (2 miles / 3.2 km)
Course Description
The marathon course consists of 13 laps around a 2-mile loop. The loop is described as flat and fully closed to traffic. The official start line is 0.2 miles ahead of the finish line. There is an on-site aid station with water and Gatorade available every 2 miles, and numbered tables are provided for personal hydration supplies.
Event Logistics
The event uses an RFID timing system. Parking is available on-site and adjacent to the course. Clean, accessible restrooms and porta potties are located at the start/finish area. The total event time window is 6 hours. The Two Mile Test Run starts separately in the afternoon.
Participant Information
The event is USATF sanctioned and can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Participants must keep track of their own 13 laps. Strollers are permitted, but participants with them are asked to start at the back. Dogs are not allowed unless they are certified service animals.
Registration and Policies
Packet pickup is available on Friday at Marathon Sports Mansfield and on race day starting at 6:30 AM. The race proceeds rain or shine. No refunds, credits, or deferrals are offered.
Awards and Swag
Awards are given for the marathon to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female in each age group. The Two Mile Test Run awards the top male and female finisher. The first 400 marathon registrants receive a sport hoody, all 2-mile runners receive a cap, and all finishers receive a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
