Great Westmorland Trail Race
The Great Westmorland Trail Race is a marked trail event around the village of Crosby Garrett near Kirkby Stephen. The course runs over rolling fell land on trails and footpaths and offers views of the Eden and Lune valleys. The route length for the senior race is 13 km (8.1 miles) with approximately 400 m (1312 ft) of climb. The course is fully marked and a race brief and route map are provided.
Junior races are organised on the same day in age categories U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17. Junior entry is available on the day only and the fee for juniors is £2.00. The minimum age for the senior race is 17.
Entry fees for the senior race vary by membership and timing of entry. Pre entry online costs are £10.00 for UKA club members and £12.00 for none affiliated runners. Entry on the day fees are £13.00 for UKA club members and £15.00 for none affiliated runners. Registration is available on the day for both junior and senior events.
