GRRRR Great River Road Road Race

The GRRRR Great River Road Road Race takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event location is Pikes Peak State Park in McGregor, Iowa.

The race offers two chip-timed running events:

5k Run
10K Run

Both the 5K and 10K races are USATF-certified and sanctioned. The traditional route starts in the park. Runners begin in the parking lot, follow Pikes Peak Road west to the Great River Road, turn south, and continue on the Great River Road to either the 5K or 10K mark before returning on the same route. The course features slightly rolling hills.
