16th Annual Great Pumpkin Race
The 16th Annual St. Gregory Great Pumpkin Race is a fall running event held at St. Gregory School in Zelienople, PA. The event offers two distances and a post-race outdoor party with food, activities, and prizes. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Proceeds benefit the St. Gregory School Parent-Teacher Organization and the school's athletic programs.
Race details include:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run (1 mile)
The 5K is chip timed by Miles of Smiles. The course includes a mix of flat areas and small rolling hills. Parking is available on-site in the upper church lot and on surrounding streets. A T-shirt with the GPR Runnin' Pumpkin logo is guaranteed for registrations completed by end of day October 18, 2026. A new finisher medal will be awarded.
Registration fees vary by date. For the 5K the fee is $25 until October 19, $30 until October 24, and $35 for same-day registration. For the 1 mile the fee is $20 until October 19, $25 until October 24, and $35 for same-day registration.
Awards for the 5K include top three overall male and female finishers and top three male and female in the following age groups: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
Awards for the 1 mile include top three overall male and female, top three male and female in age groups 6 and under, 7-10, 11-14, 15-19, and top two male and female in age groups 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
