Great Pumpkin Chase : Lake Elmo Park Reserve
The Great Pumpkin Chase is a fall trail running event held at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in Lake Elmo, Minnesota on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The course uses natural trails with rolling hills and is staged to showcase autumn foliage. Aid stations are located about every 1.5 miles and provide water and Hammer Electrolytes. Race distances and practical details
- Kids Trail Fun Run - 0.5 mile
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 10K - 6.2 miles
- Double Up - complete the 10K then the 5K
The event permits well behaved, leashed dogs and is described as walker- and stroller-friendly. Post-race amenities include a bonfire and a pancake breakfast, weather permitting; spectator breakfast is available for $10. Parking at the park requires a one-day pass fee of $7 unless a county parking pass is held. Awards include top overall male and female and top three male and female finishers in each age group; age group awards use defined brackets and winners must be present to claim awards.
