Great Pumpkin Chase
The Great Pumpkin Chase is a fall trail running event at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in Minnesota that offers multiple distance options for families and individual runners. The course uses natural trails and rolling hills and highlights autumn foliage.
Distance options include:
- Kids Trail Fun Run - 0.5 mile
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 10K - 6.2 miles
- Double Up - complete the 10K then the 5K
Aid stations are placed approximately every 1.5 miles and provide water and Hammer Electrolytes. The event welcomes walkers and well behaved dogs on leash. Parents who run with children on the fun run register as Parents Fun Run. A post-race bonfire and pancake breakfast are planned, weather permitting; spectator breakfast is available for a fee.
Race packets distributed on race day at Lake Elmo Park Reserve include a race bib, timing chip, and event shirt if that option was selected. A professional photographer will be on site and official results are provided by frontrunnerusa.com. Parking at the park requires a one day pass fee. Race day registrations accept cash or check only. Women's shirts are fitted and run small, men's shirts are generously sized; registrations close to the event may receive shirts by mail and sizes may be substituted.
