About the race
Great Langdale 21 is a 21km trail running event in the Langdale Valley, Lake District, starting and finishing at the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. The course ascends about 850m and traverses fully marked, technical trails and footpaths around Great Langdale, including climbs to Red Tarn and Pike O'Blisco, before looping back via Stool End Farm and the Cumbria Way to the hotel. Part of the Rab Scafell Sky Race Weekend, the event features a manned checkpoint and a bespoke recycled-paper seed-bomb medal.
The route offers dramatic valley and mountain scenery within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with music after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
