Great Guernsey Trail Firecracker 10K & 5K
The 4th annual Firecracker event comprises out-and-back runs held entirely on the paved Great Guernsey Trail, beginning at the Cambridge end and following Leatherwood Creek. The route is traffic free and returns to the trail head. Water is provided at the turnarounds and refreshments and food are available at the finish area.
Distances offered:
- 10 km (6.2 miles), timed competitive event, eligible for overall and age group awards.
- 5 km (3.1 miles), timed competitive event, eligible for overall and age group awards.
- 5 km (3.1 miles) Fun Run and Walk, non-timed, not eligible for awards.
Timing for the timed races is provided by Muskingum Multisports. Awards include unique trophies for the top three overall finishers and medals for the top three in each age category: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-plus. Finishers’ medals are awarded to all participants and walkers are welcome.
Race packets include a T-shirt with the race logo and additional swag; participants registered by June 19 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Entry fees are non-refundable; pre-registration and day-of entry fees vary by distance and are listed by the organizer.
