Great Eastern Run
The Great Eastern Run is an annual road running event scheduled to take place on Sunday 11 October 2026. The event is held on closed roads within Peterborough city centre. The course is noted for being one of the flattest routes for a half marathon in the United Kingdom and is managed by Good Running Events.
Participants can choose between two distinct distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K Fun Run (Annas Hope 5K Fun Run)
The event includes several features to assist runners during their race. A pre-race warm-up is provided, and the half marathon course includes water stations and a race pacing service. All participants are timed using chip timing technology and receive a medal upon completion of the race.
The event site features an event village where medical support and post-race refreshments are available. Prior to race day, entrants can access free training sessions and a training plan. The event partners with various local and national charities, allowing participants the opportunity to support different causes through their run.
