The AEPG Great Eastern Run is an organised road-racing event in Peterborough City Centre with start and finish at the Embankment. It is scheduled for October 2026 and is organised by Good Running Events. The course is described as super flat and fast and has a course measurement reference of 24-464. The Half Marathon has a minimum age of 17. Chip timing operates on both the Half Marathon and the 5K. All runners receive a bespoke medal. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to category winners in the Half Marathon. The Half Marathon course has five water stations and there is a bottle of water at the Half Marathon finish; bottles for the 5K are available at the 5K finish.
Safety, rules and logistics
The route uses fully closed roads. Medical teams and marshals will be onsite; runners should stop and seek help if they feel unwell. In-ear headphones are banned; bone-conducting headphones are permitted provided marshal instructions remain audible. The Half Marathon has a cutoff of 3 hours 30 minutes and the 5K has a cutoff of 1 hour. Entries are non-refundable; transfers or deferrals are permitted until 27 September 2026.
