AEPG Great Eastern Run in Peterborough
The AEPG Great Eastern Run takes place on 11 October 2026 with the start and finish at the Embankment in Peterborough city centre. Organised by Good Running Events, the programme includes a Half Marathon and Anna's Hope 5K on a flat, fast course around the city centre and surrounding area. The course has a measurement reference of 24-464 and uses chip timing for both distances.
A bespoke medal is provided to all finishers. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both races, with category awards for the Half Marathon. The Half Marathon has an age limit of 17+ and a cutoff time of 3 hours 30 minutes; the 5K has a cutoff of 1 hour.
All roads on the course are fully closed. Runners must follow signage and marshal instructions and keep to the left unless directed otherwise. Medical teams will be on site and there are five water stations on the Half Marathon route; cups are available at each station and bottled water is provided at the Half Marathon finish with goody bags. Bottled water is available at the 5K finish only.
In ear headphones are banned; only bone conducting headphones are permitted if marshal instructions can be heard clearly. Entries are non refundable but transfers are allowed until 27 September 2026. Ample parking is available around the city centre. Photos and video will be taken on the day and entries are subject to race terms and conditions.
