Event overview
The AEPG Great Eastern Run takes place on 11 October 2026 in Peterborough, with start and finish at the Embankment. The event is organised by Good Running Events and includes a Half Marathon and a 5K fun run. The Half Marathon has an age limit of 17 and a course measurement reference of 24-464. Course, timing and awards
The course uses fully closed roads. Chip timing operates for both the Half Marathon and the 5K. The Half Marathon has a cutoff of 3 hours 30 minutes; the 5K has a cutoff of 1 hour. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to category winners in the Half Marathon; the 5K awards trophies to the top three male and female finishers. A bespoke medal is available to all finishers.
Facilities and rules
Five water stations are on the Half Marathon course; cups are provided and a bottle is given at the finish. The 5K receives bottles at the finish. Medical teams will be present on site. In-ear headphones are banned; bone-conducting headphones are permitted if marshal instructions remain audible. Organisers accept no responsibility for vehicles, contents, or baggage.
