AEPG Great Eastern Run : Peterborough, 11 October 2026
The AEPG Great Eastern Run takes place on 11 October 2026 with a start and finish at the Embankment in Peterborough. The route runs around Peterborough City Centre and surrounding areas and is described as a flat, fast course. Roads on the course are fully closed. The course measurement reference is 24-464.
Race distances and logistics
- Half Marathon - minimum age 17
- 5K
Chip timing will be used for both the Half Marathon and the 5K. A bespoke medal will be given to all finishers. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to category winners in the Half Marathon; the 5K also awards trophies to the top three male and female finishers. The Half Marathon has a cutoff of 3 hours 30 minutes; the 5K has a cutoff of 1 hour.
There will be five water stations on the Half Marathon course and cups at each station; a bottle of water is provided at the Half Marathon finish with the goody bag. Bottles of water for 5K finishers are available at the finish only. Medical teams and race marshals will be on site; runners should stop and seek help if they experience pain, dizziness, or other symptoms. In ear headphones are banned; only bone-conducting headphones are permitted provided marshal instructions can still be heard.
