Event overview
The AEPG Great Eastern Run is a road running event held with a start and finish at the Embankment in Peterborough. The course runs around Peterborough City Centre and surrounding areas on fully closed roads and is described by the organisers as a flat and fast route. The Event Village will be on site and medical teams will be present during the event.

Race services and rules
Chip timing is used for both the Half Marathon and the 5K. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. There are trophies for the top three male and female finishers and category winners in the Half Marathon; the 5K also awards the top three male and female. The Half Marathon has five water stations with cups provided at each station and a bottle of water at the finish; 5K runners receive bottled water at the finish only. In-ear headphones are banned; bone-conducting headphones are permitted if marshal instructions remain audible. Appropriate road shoes are required. The Half Marathon has a cutoff of 3 hours 30 minutes and the 5K a cutoff of 1 hour.
Entries are non-refundable; transfers or deferrals are available until 27 September 2026. Runners must record any medical condition and an emergency contact on the reverse of their race number where requested. Photos and video will be taken on the day.
