AJ Bell Great Bristol Run - 9 May 2027
The AJ Bell Great Bristol Run is a city road race in Bristol offering two distances and a range of event services. Earlybird entries are sold out; final entry prices listed were £46 for the 10k and £57 for the half marathon. Entries are open to runners aged 15+ for the 10k and 17+ for the half marathon on event day.
- 10k - ages 15+ on event day
- Half marathon - ages 17+ on event day
The course is described as relatively flat and varied, taking in Bristol’s rivers, green spaces, urban landmarks and graffiti murals. The event starts on Colston Avenue and finishes on Anchor Road. In 2026 the route was run in reverse to give runners a new perspective; the organiser notes routes and timetables may be subject to change. There is a rolling programme of road closures on event day with phased reopenings later that evening.
Event services include baggage buses, personalised race numbers with timing chips (usually posted from around four weeks before the event), official event day photos, and an event app offering runner tracking, split times and results. Finishers receive a medal and can opt for a finishers t-shirt and goodie bag. Free training plans and partner coaching content are available, and a wide range of charity places are supported, with Alzheimer’s Society named as the AJ Bell Great Run Series official charity.
