Event overview
The AJ Bell Great Bristol Run takes place in Bristol on 10 May 2026. The event offers two race distances:
- 10k

Both races start and finish on Anchor Road. The course is described as relatively flat and runs past rivers, green spaces, Castle Park, urban landmarks and graffiti murals. The British Heart Foundation is the official charity partner for the AJ Bell Great Run series this year.
Entry and practical information
Entries for 2026 are open. Saver and standard entry prices listed are: 10k - Saver £37, Standard £42; Half marathon - Saver £47, Standard £52. Age limits are 15+ for the 10k and 17+ for the half marathon on race day.
Event services include baggage buses near the start at the Lloyds Amphitheatre and a race number containing a timing chip, usually posted 1-2 weeks before the event; late or overseas entries must collect numbers from the information point. Waves are allocated by estimated time; runners may assemble with a slower wave but cannot move to a faster wave. A free event-day app provides live tracking, photos and results. Finishers receive a medal, a finishers t-shirt (optional) and a finisher’s bag. Choosing to forgo a finisher tee triggers a donation to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal as part of the event’s environmental commitment. Road closures will operate in phases on event day and will be reopened once each section is clear. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
