Event
The AJ Bell Great Bristol Run takes place on 10 May 2026 in Bristol. The event offers the following race distances:
- 10k
- Half marathon
Entries are open for 2026. Minimum ages on race day are 15 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. Entries use wave starts allocated by estimated time.
Course and logistics
Both races start and finish on Anchor Road. The route is described as relatively flat and passes Bristol rivers, green spaces, Castle Park and urban landmarks, including areas with graffiti murals. There will be a rolling programme of road closures on race day with phased reopenings.
Race numbers include timing chips and are posted 1-2 weeks before the event; late or overseas entries must collect numbers at the event information point before race day. Baggage buses are located near the start in the Lloyds Amphitheatre; runners must attach a baggage label from their race number and use the race number to collect bags after finishing. Waves can be changed only to a slower wave by assembling with a later wave.
The event offers a free Great Run event-day tracking app for live tracking, photos and results. Finishers receive a medal and a finisher’s bag; a finisher tee is offered as an optional item, with an associated donation to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal.
