AJ Bell Great Bristol Run 10 May 2026
The AJ Bell Great Bristol Run is a city road running event in Bristol that offers two distances and a range of participant services. The start and finish are on Anchor Road and the published route is described as relatively flat, taking in Bristol rivers, green spaces and urban landmarks including Castle Park and notable street art.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 10k
- Half marathon
Entries are open to runners aged 15 and over for the 10k and 17 and over for the half marathon. Waves are allocated by estimated time; participants may move to a slower wave but cannot move to a faster wave. Race numbers with timing chips are typically posted 1 to 2 weeks before the event; late or overseas entries must collect numbers from the information point the day before or on the morning of the event. Baggage buses operate near the start in the Lloyds Amphitheatre and require the baggage label from the race number to be attached.
Event services include a free event day tracking app for live tracking, official event photos and results available via the app, and access to post event discounts through the Great Run Rewards platform. Finishers receive a medal, a finishers t shirt option and a finisher bag. Organisers operate rolling road closures on race day with phased reopenings expected by 17:00. An optional finisher tee exists and a portion of saved fulfilment costs supports the National Trust Woodlands Appeal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
