AJ Bell Great Bristol Run
The AJ Bell Great Bristol Run takes place on 9 May 2027 in Bristol. The event features two timed road races:
- 10k
- Half marathon
The course is described as relatively flat and varied, taking in the city’s rivers, green spaces, urban landmarks and graffiti murals. The route was run in reverse in a recent year to give participants a different view of the city.
Entries for 2027 are open and a Super Earlybird offer is available for a limited time. A booking fee is applied at checkout. The 2026 AJ Bell Great Bristol Run sold out in advance. Age limits on race day are 15 years plus for the 10k and 17 years plus for the half marathon.
Start and finish locations are Colston Avenue and Anchor Road respectively. Baggage buses are provided close to the start and race numbers with timing chips are usually posted about four weeks before the event; late or overseas entries must collect numbers from the information point. Waves are allocated by estimated time; participants may assemble with a later wave but cannot move to a faster wave.
Finishers receive a medal, an optional finishers t shirt and a finisher’s bag. Official event photos are available after the race and an event app offers live tracking, split times and results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
