Great American Triathlon : Rancho Cordova
The Great American Triathlon is the sixth annual edition of a multi discipline event held on the American River Parkway in Rancho Cordova, part of the Sacramento region. The event date is July 18, 2026.
The course follows the historic route of Eppie’s Great Race and combines three segments:
- 5.95-mile run
- 12.5-mile bike
- 6.10-mile paddle
Competition options include individual Ironperson entries for adults and juniors and several relay formats. Relay categories listed include duo relay, adult relay (three members), junior relay (two or three members, 18 and under) and tandem watercraft relay (four members). All finishers receive a Great American Triathlon finisher medal.
Team registration rules require the team captain to pay the team entry fee in full and to create the team during registration. Team members must register themselves and provide required information after the captain registers. The event notes that correct t shirt size must be provided since exchanges will not be available and sizes are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Packet pickup is scheduled for July 17 at River Bend Park. An awards ceremony is scheduled for July 18 at the Expo Stage.
