Great American Triathlon - July 18, 2026
The Great American Triathlon is the 6th annual multi-discipline event set on the American River Parkway in Rancho Cordova, California. The course follows the historic route of Eppie’s Great Race and combines running, cycling and paddling into a single event.
The course distances are:
- 5.95-mile run
- 12.5-mile bike
- 6.10-mile paddle
Competition options include individual Ironperson divisions for adults and juniors and several relay formats. Relay team formats listed are Duo Relay (2 members), Adult Relay (3 members), Junior Relay (2 or 3 members) and Tandem Watercraft Relay (4 members). Team captains are responsible for creating teams and paying the team entry fee in full; individual team members must complete their own registration.
All finishers receive a Great American Triathlon finisher medal. Packet pickup is scheduled at River Bend Park on July 17, 2026, and an awards ceremony is planned at the Expo Stage on July 18, 2026. Event merchandise includes participant t-shirts; correct sizes must be provided during registration because exchanges are not available and sizes are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
