Great American Triathlon - Rancho Cordova, CA (July 18, 2026)
The Great American Triathlon is a multi-discipline event held on the American River Parkway in Rancho Cordova. The 2026 edition is the sixth annual running of the event and follows the historic route of Eppie’s Great Race.
The course consists of:
- 5.95 mile run along the parkway
- 12.5 mile bike segment
- 6.10 mile paddle portion
The event accepts individual competitors and several relay formats, including duo relays, three-person adult relays, junior relays for competitors 18 and under, and four-person tandem watercraft relays. There are separate adult and junior individual categories labeled Ironperson. The field includes adaptive starts and separate starts for Ironpersons and relay teams. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, July 17 at River Bend Park and an awards ceremony is planned on July 18 at the Expo Stage.
Team registration requires the team captain to pay the entry fee in full and to create the team during registration; team members must register themselves and supply required information. Organizers require correct t-shirt size at registration, exchanges are not available and sizes are distributed first come first served. Participation is limited.
