Graveyard Gallop 5K
The Graveyard Gallop 5K is an inaugural charity event on October 30, 2026 at Coldstream Park in Lexington, Kentucky. Proceeds benefit the Western Pennsylvania/Kentucky Search & Rescue Development Center, an organization that supports at-risk and vulnerable individuals and provides Community Emergency Response Team services.
The event includes an in-person chip timed 5K on a paved trail surface. Strollers and dogs on fixed length leashes are allowed. Awards will be presented to top overall finishers and top finishers in age group divisions. Commemorative race shirts are provided and free race photos will be available. Evening packet pickup will take place at the race site. The event features a spooky theme with an optional costume contest for a Best Dressed prize, music, and opportunities for social teams; a prize will be awarded to the largest team.
A virtual 5K option lets participants run or walk the same distance in their hometown; virtual entrants receive a commemorative shirt by mail. Volunteer positions are available for race night; volunteers work a three hour shift and receive a free race shirt for helping.
