Event overview
The Grapes of Wrath Triathlon, 5k & 10k takes place in Delano, California on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The event is hosted at Lake Woollomes (32750 Woollomes Ave) and is organized by the Activitynut Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3). The event program includes triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, aquabike, relay and run/walk options, plus virtual races.
Each registered athlete receives an event T-shirt, a finisher's medal, a goody bag, a swim cap, a post-race meal and free race photos. Awards are given three-deep in each division. A USAT membership is required for triathlon entries but is not required for the 5k or 10k.
Packet pickup for multisport participants requires presentation of ID and a USAT card and takes place at Lake Woollomes near the transition area. Volunteers receive a T-shirt, a meal, and discounts on future events.

- Olympic Aquathlon - 1600 yd swim, 6.1 mi run
- 5K Run/Walk - 5K
- 10K Run/Walk - 10K
The course uses a lake swim in Lake Woollomes, a flat road bike course, and a run that is partly trail and partly paved. Lake Woollomes is a 300-acre reservoir with about 4 miles of shoreline; only non-powered boats are allowed on the lake. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
