2025 SHAY 5K Run/Walk
The 2025 SHAY 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at La Vina Middle School in Delano, California (1331 Browning Rd, Delano, CA 93215). The event is organized by Spreading Help Around You, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2014 to support families who have lost a loved one, promote pedestrian safety awareness, and provide community services. The organization also launched a scholarship program.
This event is an annual 5K run/walk. Participants receive an event T-shirt, a custom finisher's medallion, and a race bib that will be dynamically assigned. Children 12 and under are eligible for a special registration rate. Teams are permitted and there is a contest for the largest group.
Logistics, awards and schedule
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Delano Chamber of Commerce, 931 High St., Delano, CA 93215; the pickup time is to be announced. The race day program includes late packet pickup/registration, a largest-group contest, the timed 5K event, age-group awards, and a raffle. Age-group awards are given three deep in these categories: 12 and under, 13 to 17, and 18 and up. All participants receive a custom finisher's medal.
