Granite Way 10 & 20 Miles
The Granite Way running event takes place in Devon along the Granite Way footpath and cycleway. This traffic-free course provides participants with views of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside. The terrain is primarily flat, making it a suitable environment for those looking to maintain a consistent pace or test their progress during training.
Participants can choose between two race distances:
- 10 miles (consisting of one lap)
- 20 miles (consisting of two laps)
The event is organized by the Exeter City Community Trust and serves as a preparation race for individuals training for spring Marathons or Half Marathons. The race headquarters is located at the Granite Way Cafe in Okehampton, which serves as the starting point for the route.
To participate, runners must be at least 17 years old on the day of the event. Facilities available on-site include toilets, water stations, a bag store, and a medical station. All finishers receive a commemorative Granite Way medal. Support on the course includes marshals and designated cheer points to assist runners as they complete their laps.
Entry options include standard booking or reaching a minimum fundraising pledge for designated charity partners. Participants who run for the charity team receive a technical running top and a fundraising pack. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
