Whiskey Basin Trail Runs (April 18, 2026) : Prescott, AZ
The Whiskey Basin Trail Runs are a set of trail races held at Watson Lake Park in Prescott, Arizona, using sections of the Prescott Circle Trail. The event includes the following distances:
- 92K (full loop around Prescott)
- 60K
- 33K
- Half-Marathon
- 10K
All distances finish at Watson Lake with views of the Granite Dells. The 92K is a point-to-point route that follows the full Prescott Circle Trail; the 60K and 33K are point-to-point along trail sections. Course terrain includes gravel paths, single track, granite rock, rocky scrambles, pines and juniper, and sections on the Peavine and Storm Trails.
Course services, rules and logistics
Aid stations are spaced on each course and offer water, ice, an electrolyte drink (Gnarly Fuel 2O), sweet and salty snacks, and fruit; gels are not provided. This is a cupless event so runners should bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site. Drop bags are allowed at designated locations for the 92K and there is a drop bag area at start/finish for shorter distances. Crews and pacers are restricted by distance and location rules; pacers are allowed only for the 92K beginning at Goldwater Lake and only one pacer per runner. Watson Lake Park parking and campsite details are provided on site; the event reserves 35 camping sites for the weekend at Watson Lake. Medical staff and marked course signage are provided.
