About the race
The Christmas City Santa Run is a community fundraising event in Prescott, Arizona that raises money for The Launch Pad Teen Center. The run is held at the Brownlow Trail and lists 10k, 5k and a 1-mile Rudolph Run as in-person options, plus virtual race options. Participants in the 10k and 5k receive a Santa hat, beard, and a commemorative ornament. Participants in the Rudolph Run receive antlers and a red nose.
The course includes a cookie stop and a cookie, hot cider and cocoa booth near the start and finish. Sponsors named for course support include PJD Securities for the cookie stop and Fleet Feet Prescott for an aid station; other listed sponsors include Dignity Health YRMC and a local psychologist sponsor. The event is not a sanctioned race. Race rules state that bibs must be clearly displayed on the chest for times to be recorded and that unofficial times will be posted after the event.
Packet pick-up opportunities are offered in advance at a local Fleet Feet store and on race day at the event parking area. Children 6 and under are free and youth ages 7 through 18 are offered a reduced registration rate. Prizes are noted for top finishers in several age groups and for an ugly sweater category.
