Grand Rapids Zombie Dash 5K
The Grand Rapids Zombie Dash is an evening Halloween themed event in downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday, October 24, 2026, based at Monroe Skate Park, 555 Monroe Ave NW. The course runs through downtown and includes zones where costumed "zombies" attempt to take runners' life strips.
Race options include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 mile Kids Trick or Treat Mile non competitive
Paid participants receive a Zombie Dash custom shirt and custom bib. Finishers receive a finisher medal, and age group winners receive prizes. Packet pick up is available on race day.
A separate zombie role is part of the event; zombies try to retrieve life strips from runners and may influence routing around turns, but no physical contact is allowed. Zombies receive a free shirt and post race refreshments. A pre race meeting is held at 6th Street Bridge Park.
Volunteer roles include registration, water and aid stations, and course monitoring or directing. Volunteers receive a free shirt and post race refreshments and meet at 6th Street Bridge Park to receive assignments.
