2026 Granby Road Race
The Granby Road Race is one of the oldest and most historic road racing events in Connecticut. The event features several distances for participants to choose from:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- Kids 1 Mile
The 10 km event follows a rolling, scenic route that utilizes local roads and passes through the McLean Game Refuge. This course starts south of Granby Middle School on Route 10, follows the west side of the road to Canton Road, and includes a section within the refuge. The finish line is located at the semi-circle driveway in front of Granby Memorial High School.
The 5 km distance consists of a course that runs partly on paved roads and partly through Salmon Brook Park. From the start on Route 10, participants head south before completing a loop within the park and returning north to the middle school.
The event serves as a benefit for the YMCA’s Annual Campaign, which supports community access to YMCA programs and services. The start for the main races is located near Granby Memorial Middle School at 321 Salmon Brook Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
