Event Overview
The annual Granby Road Race takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026. It is described as one of Connecticut's oldest and most historic road races. The event offers three distances: 5K, 10K, and a Kids 1 Mile run.
Race Courses
Both the 5K and 10K races start just south of Granby Middle School on Route 10. The 5K course heads south on Route 10 and enters Salmon Brook Park. Runners complete a loop within the park before returning to Route 10 and heading north back to the middle school.
The 10K features a rolling, scenic course. It continues south on the west side of Route 10 to Canton Road. Runners then turn right and enter the McLean Game Refuge. After exiting the refuge, they return to the west side of Route 10, continue north, and finish at Granby Memorial High School.
Charitable Impact
Proceeds from the race benefit the YMCA’s Annual Campaign. This helps ensure individuals and families can participate in YMCA programs and services regardless of their ability to pay.
Location
All events are based at Granby Memorial Middle School, located at 321 Salmon Brook Street in Granby, Connecticut. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
