Graffiti Bridge 5K
The Graffiti Bridge 5K is an athletic event held in Pensacola, Florida, centered around a local landmark on East Gregory Street. Participants can choose between two main categories:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
The course starts and finishes at the bridge, which serves as a central feature of the event. On the morning of the race, the street is closed to vehicle traffic for two hours to allow participants access to the structure. During this designated time before the run and walk begin, attendees have the opportunity to paint or "tag" the bridge, provided they bring their own paint. This access is only interrupted if a train passes through the area.
Every participant who completes the course receives a collector's medal. Packet pickup is organized over two days, with an afternoon session on Friday at a local running store and a final session on the morning of the event at the start line on 17th Avenue.
Parking for the event is located on the side streets within the East Hill neighborhood. Organizers request that participants avoid blocking private driveways and refrain from using the parking lots of local businesses that remain open during the event.
