GR5K : Midtown Baptist Temple
The GR5K was established in memory of Gralon Rhys Kimble. It is a chip timed event that includes a 5K and a Family Mile Fun Run for all ages. The event is held annually on the first Saturday of November and is based at Shawnee Mission Park in Shawnee, Kansas (7900 Renner Road, Shelter 1, SPS Loop).
Proceeds support partner organizations that provide physical and spiritual ministry to children in need. The listed partners are Hope Family Orphanage in Nepal, Iglesias del Norte in Costa Rica, Hatikva Project in Israel, and the Passion Center for Children in Malawi. The organizer states that 100% of the proceeds go to these partner organizations.

Registration information published for the event includes early bird and regular online pricing tiers: early bird pricing for the live race is shown as $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, and regular live registration is shown as $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.
