Gourdy's Pumpkin Run Baltimore: 5K
Gourdy's Pumpkin Run in Baltimore is a fall 5K run and walk held on September 26, 2026, at the Inner Harbor. The course starts and finishes at West Shore Park and follows the waterfront with Baltimore’s skyline as a backdrop. The route is described as flat and fast and passes areas of fall foliage typical of late September in Maryland.
Registration includes entry to the 5K, a lightweight tech hoodie, a finisher's medal, a commemorative bib, chip timing, a cup of apple cider, a small pumpkin, and access to an online training community. Additional options include the Tough Pumpkin challenge, which supplies a pumpkin to carry on the course and awards an extra Tough Pumpkin medal, and team registration for groups of four or more with a $5 savings per team member.
About one third of participants choose to walk. The event uses wave starts to separate runners, joggers, and walkers; Wave A is intended for paces of 8:30 per mile and faster, while Wave F and Wave G are dedicated for walkers. Packet pick-up is offered both the evening before the race and on race morning. Parking is available in nearby garages, surface lots, and at meters. Girls on the Run is the 2026 charity partner. Volunteer roles are available and include options for race registration or a charity donation plus event apparel. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
