About the race
Girls on the Run Treasure Valley holds an end of season celebratory 5K (3.1 miles) at Kleiner Park in Meridian, Idaho on Saturday, Nov 7, 2026. The event is untimed and takes place rain or shine. The closing 5K gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment and each participant in the program receives a commemorative medal.
The event includes a pre and post 5K activity festival and musical warm up. Family members, friends and community members may participate but must register separately. Online registration has an advance deadline of Wednesday, Nov 4, and race day registration is available at the park for a higher fee. Registration fees vary by age group and by registration date.
The course is accessible; participants may walk, run, push or roll at their own pace. Every participant must wear a provided race bib and all registrations include a liability waiver. Girls on the Run recommends that each program participant have a running buddy aged 16 or older who accompanies them for the entire course.
Volunteers support set up, tear down, registration, course marshals, water stations, cheer stations and activity stations. Volunteer shifts are approximately 3.5 hours and volunteers with the council are subject to a background check. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
