GOTR Treasure Valley 5K Celebration
Girls on the Run Treasure Valley holds a celebratory 5K as the end of each season. The event on November 7, 2026 takes place at Kleiner Park in Meridian, Idaho and is not timed. The council runs an activity festival before and after the 5K and includes a musical warm up on race day.
All program participants receive a commemorative medal. Family members, friends, and community members may participate but must register. Online registration closes on November 4, and race day registration is available at the park; registration fees vary by age group and by date of registration.
Safety measures include required race bibs for every participant, monitored course head counts, and a council safety plan that trains staff and volunteers to respond to incidents. Participants are encouraged to use a running buddy who is at least 16 years old to accompany them for the entire course. The course is accessible for people with disabilities so participants can walk, run, push, or roll at their own pace. Liability waivers are part of registration.
Volunteers support set up and tear down, registration, course marshalling, water and cheer stations, and activity stations; volunteers may be subject to a background check.
