Event overview
The Gosfield Triathlon & Multisport event is promoted by Born2Tri and takes place at Gosfield Lake Resort, Church Road, Gosfield, Halstead, Essex, CO9 1UD on 26 July 2026. The event has an entry limit of 300 competitors and a minimum age of 18 years on race day. All races will be chip timed and each competitor will receive a finisher medal.
Race distances and entry
The event offers multiple race formats with published entry fees:
- Standard Distance Triathlon - 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run (£68)
- Sprint Distance Triathlon - 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run (£58)
- Aquabike - 1500m swim, 40km bike (£42)
- Aquathlon - 1500m swim, 10km run (£42)
- Duathlon - 5km run, 20km bike, 5km run (£42)
- Swim Only - 1500m (£27.50)
Triathlon and duathlon trophies are awarded for 1st place male and female in Open (under 40) and Vet (over 40) categories. Trophies are also awarded for Aquathlon, Aquabike, and the 1500m swim for 1st male and female.
Course, timing and rules
Swims use a lake course with rolling starts and laps of 750m as specified per race. The cycle course is rural, using one or two 20km laps on roads through nearby villages. The run route is under review; if unchanged it uses looped laps mainly on paths and grassland with some road footpath sections. The event is run under British Triathlon rules; non-members must purchase a race pass for insurance at the stated cost.
