5k Fun Run x Goose Island Beer Co.
This event is an untimed 5k fun run held at Goose Island Taproom in Chicago as part of the 2026 Illinois Brewery Running Series. The course starts and ends at the taproom and is marked to guide participants through the surrounding neighborhood. Roads remain open during the course so participants must obey traffic laws.
Registration includes one craft brew from Goose Island at the finish, a choice of Brewery Running Series swag (collector's pint glass or a seasonal item), entry into a prize drawing, and access to post-run activities such as music, games, giveaways and partner booths. Ten percent of proceeds support local nonprofits.
The event is described as all ages and in person. Dogs and strollers are allowed with care and in accordance with Goose Island policies. A valid ID is required to receive alcoholic beverages; participants under 21 are eligible for a nonalcoholic beverage. The event will proceed rain or shine, though organizers may alter plans if conditions make running unsafe. A refund policy is listed that permits refunds up to seven days before the event.
