Overview
The Golden Eagle Track Fest & 5K is scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2026, at Cal State LA. The event is centered at University Jessie Owens Stadium, 5151 University Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90032. The 5K starts and finishes inside the stadium and the route goes through the campus, passing historical monuments and the main boardwalk. The 5K is chip timed by Aztlan Athletics and results will be available at the registration area after the finish.

Track festival races begin with the 2 Mile, followed by the 800 meters, and conclude with 1 Mile heats; races are organized slowest to fastest. The 5K course includes water and electrolyte stations. Snacks and recovery drinks must be consumed off the track in the concourse area.
Logistics
Packet pick up takes place at University Jessie Owens Stadium and includes a medal, race bib, and a T-shirt for 5K participants while supplies last. A first aid team will be positioned on the north side of the track and will also rove the 5K course. Parking is available in the structure behind the stadium (lot K) with access from University Drive off the 10 Freeway and event signage directing vehicles. The event page states NO REFUNDS.
