Event Overview
The Golden Eagle Track Fest & 5K is an inaugural event taking place on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at Cal State LA's Jessie Owens Stadium. The event features six race distances and a separate pet-friendly division. The 5K route covers the CSULA campus, passing by historical monuments such as the MLK and Ruben Salazar buildings.

The schedule begins with the 5K, followed by a track festival where races proceed from the 2 Mile to the 800 Meters and conclude with mile heats. All races start and finish inside Jessie Owens Stadium.
Event Details
Packet pick-up for the event occurs on race day from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM at the stadium. Registration for all events closes 15 minutes before the respective start time. The 5K Run/Walk is chip-timed by Aztlan Athletics, with results available near the finish line after the race.
Water and electrolyte stations are provided on the 5K course and at the track. A first aid team will be stationed on the north side of the track and will also roam the 5K route. Parking is available in structure K behind the stadium, accessible from University Drive off the 10 Freeway. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
