Gold Star Run for Honor in Saugus, MA
The Gold Star Run for Honor takes place on May 23, 2026 at Saugus Town Hall, 298 Central Street, Saugus MA. The event is held in memory of a service member killed in action and raises funds for a memorial scholarship program that supports high school seniors.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 1 Mile Walk
- Kids Fun Run (ages 10 and under, 1/4 mile)
The 5K and 10K courses combine flat sections and rollers with one notable climb. All distances follow routes that intersect and split at various points. Aid stations on course will provide water and electrolytes. Strollers and dogs are welcome on the course.
Packet pickup is available on race day in front of the Town Hall. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed race shirts if registered by May 10. The Kids Fun Run circles a shutdown rotary and finishes under the event finish arch on Taylor Street; pre-registered children are guaranteed a t-shirt.
Awards include overall cash prizes for top finishers in the 5K and 10K and age group awards across multiple categories, plus recognition for top non-binary finishers. Post-race activities include community vendors, food service and on-site entertainment.
