Gold Rush 5K
The Gold Rush 5K takes place in Dahlonega, Georgia, on October 17, 2026, with the University of North Georgia - Memorial Hall as the primary venue (82 College Circle, Dahlonega, GA 30597). The course is USATF certified (Course #GA12001WC) and starts and finishes in front of Memorial Hall, routing through the Dahlonega Town Square during the Annual Gold Rush Festival.
Three participation options are listed: a general 5K Run/Walk, a Student 5K, and a Virtual 5K. Registration fees vary by category: $30 for the 5K Run/Walk, $25 for the Student 5K, and $35 for the Virtual 5K. A separate race day registration fee is noted as $45. Packet pick-up is available at the Lumpkin County Board of Education (56 Indian Drive, Dahlonega, GA 30533), and race day packet pick-up and registration are available at the University of North Georgia Memorial Hall gymnasium.
Awards include overall male and female, overall masters (40+) male and female, and age-group awards for male and female in standard age brackets from 14 & under through 65+. All pre-registered participants receive a race t-shirt, with a limited number available on race day. Snacks, fruit, and sports drinks will be offered. All proceeds benefit non-profit organizations and the Lumpkin County community. The Virtual 5K option supports the Dahlonega Rotary Club and its beneficiaries and includes a participant t-shirt.
