Gobble Waddle 5K/10K
The Gobble Waddle 5K/10K takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, in Smithfield, NC (218 S. 2nd St., Smithfield, NC 27577). The event is the 18th annual edition and is presented by HealthQuest Fitness and Wellness Center. The event includes both a timed run and a fun walk. Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed; dogs must be friendly, kept on a fixed leash, and owners must pick up after their pets.

Registration, logistics and awards
Registration opens July 1, 2026. Entry fees and registration windows are:
- 5K: $35 until October 15; $40 October 16 - November 22.
- 10K: $45 until October 15; $50 October 16 - November 22.
Entry fees include a participant t-shirt and medal, a finisher prize for youth under 17, snacks and water, timing services, and transaction fees. Fees are non-refundable. T-shirt sizes are first-come, first-served; registrations after October 1 may not receive a preferred size. Early packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, November 20 at Health Quest Fitness & Wellness Center. A course map is available via MapMyRun.
Awards will be given by age group for both the 5K and 10K, with prizes for the top overall male and female in each distance. Team awards include Largest Team, Most Creative Team Name, and Most Team Spirit. Participants are encouraged to bring at least five canned food items for local food banks and the SECU Hospice House.
