Event Details
The Gobble Waddle 5K/10K is an annual running and walking event taking place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, in Smithfield, North Carolina, USA. The address is 218 S. 2nd St. The event includes two distances: a 5K and a 10K.
The event is presented by HealthQuest Fitness and Wellness Center. It is described as a family-friendly celebration with a timed run and a fun walk. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted; dogs must be friendly and on a fixed leash at all times.
Registration and Fees
Registration opens on July 1, 2026. Entry fees are non-refundable. The prices are as follows:
- 5K: $35 per person until October 15; $40 from October 16 to November 22.
- 10K: $45 per person until October 15; $50 from October 16 to November 22.
The entry fee includes a participant t-shirt and medal, a finisher prize for youth under 17, snacks, water, and timing services. T-shirt sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis; registrations after October 1 may not receive their preferred size.
Event Day Schedule
Early packet pickup is available on Friday, November 20, at the HealthQuest Fitness & Wellness Center from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On race day, registration and packet pickup are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Both the 5K and 10K events start at 9:00 a.m., with an awards ceremony to follow.
Community Involvement
The event encourages a canned food donation drive. Participants are asked to bring at least five canned food items, which can be dropped off at the event or at HealthQuest in advance. Donations will support local food bank agencies and the SECU Hospice House.
Awards
Awards are given for the top two male and top two female finishers in each age category for both the 5K and 10K. Age categories range from 6-13 to 80-99. Prizes are also awarded to the first-place overall male and female for each distance. Team awards are given for Largest Team, Most Creative Team Name, and Most Team Spirit.
