Gobble Waddle 5K/10K
The Gobble Waddle is a community run and walk held in Smithfield, North Carolina at 218 S. 2nd St. The event offers a timed run and a fun walk with two distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The event is presented by HealthQuest Fitness and Wellness Center. Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed on the course; dogs must be friendly, kept on a fixed leash, and participants are asked to pick up after their pets. The event encourages donations of at least five canned food items to benefit local food bank agencies and the SECU Hospice House. Donations may be dropped off at the event or at HealthQuest in advance.
Registration opens July 1. Early pricing applies through October 15; higher entry fees apply October 16 through November 22. Entry fees include a participant t-shirt and medal, timing services, snacks and water, a finisher prize for youth under 17, and transaction fees. Entry fees are non refundable. T-shirt sizes are distributed on a first come, first served basis; registrations submitted after October 1 may not receive the preferred size.
Early packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, November 20 at HealthQuest Fitness and Wellness Center from 4:00-7:00 pm. Awards for age categories and team prizes will be presented at the live event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
