Go The Distance - Box End Park
Go The Distance is a multi-sport community event held at Box End Park in Box End, England, organised by Fun 4 Young People. The programme combines colour runs, an endurance run, a long-duration open-water swim challenge, and a duathlon option that pairs running with all-day swimming access. Proceeds from the event are directed to Fun 4 Young People.
The Colour Run offers several short run options:
- 1K Family Loop for ages 4 and above.
- 2K Junior Run for ages 8 to 14.
- 5K Run for ages 14 and above.
The Wild Swimming Challenge is a 12-loop format where participants complete one lake circuit each hour for up to 12 hours. Solo swimmers or teams of four may share the 12-hour challenge by rotating hourly. Children aged 10 and above may swim only when accompanied by an adult.
A separate 10K Endurance Challenge is available on the running course. The duathlon format pairs either the 5K or 10K run with an all-day swimming ticket for combined participation.
Practical information listed for attendees includes in-person participation, free parking at the venue, and a refund policy allowing refunds up to seven days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
