About the race
The GO! St. Louis Read, Right & Run Marathon is a 26-week school program for grades K-8 that combines literacy, community service and running. The program challenges students to READ 26 books, RIGHT the community with 26 good deeds, and RUN 26.2 miles over the 26-week period.
After the program period, students complete their race day goals with other program participants in Forest Park in St. Louis on April 10, 2027. Coordinators manage the program leading up to race day and provide race-day details to families; specific start times are announced closer to the event.
The program includes the following student race options:
- 1.2 Miles : open to grades K-8; registration covers the 26-week program and the final 1.2 mile race.
- 3.1 Miles (5K) : open to grades 6-8; registration covers the 26-week program and the final 5K race.
- 3.1 Miles (5K) : parents, guardians and siblings may join their Read, Right & Run Marathon student for the final 5K race.
On race day each student completes the distance for which they registered and races with other Read, Right & Run participants. The program emphasis is on completing the reading, service and running components over the set 26-week curriculum. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
