Go for Bo! 2026
Go for Bo! is a community running event held at the Stafford Regional Airport in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The event features a flat and fast course that takes place on the airport runway and taxiway. Participants can experience a sunset run on a USATF certified course.
The event offers several categories for different age groups and interests:
- 5K (including a specific registration for Stafford School Employees)
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Tot Dash (for children aged 6 and under)
The race is part of the 2026 Stafford Race Series, a collection of five local events throughout the year. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K category. Specifically, first place receives $250, second place $150, and third place $100.
This event serves a charitable purpose, supporting families in Bo, Sierra Leone, through a partnership with Ebenezer Church and Helping Children Worldwide. Proceeds contribute to healthcare and education initiatives, such as Mercy Hospital and the Child Reintegration Centre in West Africa.
Packet pick-up is available in the days leading up to the race at Fleet Feet Fredericksburg and Ebenezer UMC, as well as on-site at the Stafford Regional Airport before the events begin.
