Go for Bo! 2026 - Fredericksburg, VA
Go for Bo! 2026 takes place on September 12, 2026 at Stafford Regional Airport in Fredericksburg, VA. The event uses a fast, flat course on airport runway and taxiway; the 5K course is USATF certified. Multiple event distances are offered:
- 5K
- 5K (Stafford school employees only, open to ages 18 and up)
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Tot Dash (open to ages 6 and under)
The race was created to support children and families in Bo, Sierra Leone. Organizers partner with Helping Children Worldwide and Ebenezer Church; past donations have exceeded $250,000 and funded projects such as a hospital surgical wing, an ambulance, and child care programs. The partnership is expanding to support education, family stability, maternal health, and childhood nutrition initiatives in Sierra Leone.
Go for Bo! is part of the 2026 Stafford Race Series, a five-race series with finisher recognition awarded after the final event. The event also includes cash prizes totaling $1,000 for top male and female finishers, distributed across first, second, and third places.
