Event overview
The Baxter Trail Club presents the 13th Annual New Year?s Day Gnome Run on January 1, 2026, at the Baxter Village Green, 3187 Colonel Springs Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708. The event includes trail running and walking options, and serves a traditional New Year?s Day lunch after the activities. Registration fee includes the race, music, a t-shirt, giveaways, prizes and food.

Registration is listed at $35 until race day; race t-shirts are available to registrants who register before December 12. Children 10 and under may participate at no charge when with a paid parent or guardian. Four-legged family members are allowed but must be on a leash. The event is a fundraiser for the Baxter Trail Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with proceeds used for trail work days, group hikes, full moon fires and club administration. The post-race meal includes pulled pork, black eyed peas, collard greens, cornbread and Amor Artis craft beer. Organizers request volunteers for food, drink, water stops, setup and road crossings.
